Orbit

Terms of Service

Last updated November 3, 2026

These are the ground rules for using Orbit, written to be read. Orbit is in private beta, so this is a first version that we will keep improving.

1. What these terms are

Orbit is a business workspace for creatives, teams and agencies: clients, projects, bookings, contracts, invoices and payments in one place. It is run by Moonlight Productions LLC ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Orbit you agree to these terms. If you are using Orbit for a business, you agree for that business and confirm you can do so.

Orbit is in private beta. It may change, have bugs, or be unavailable at times, and these terms are a first draft that we will keep improving. If we change them in a way that matters, we will tell you before it applies to you.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract.
  • Give us true details, keep your password private, and tell us quickly if you think someone else got into your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • If you invite team members, you decide what they can open. You are responsible for the people you invite.
  • Accounts are created by invitation while Orbit is in beta. We may end an invitation or an account that is misused.

3. Your data and your clients' data

What you put into Orbit (clients, projects, files, contracts, invoices, messages and so on) stays yours. You give us permission to store it, process it and show it to the people you choose (for example a client who opens your invoice link) only so we can run Orbit for you.

For the personal details of your own clients, you decide why and how they are used and we handle them on your behalf. You are responsible for having the right to add them, for telling them how you use their details, and for following the laws that apply to your business (for example marketing, privacy and consumer rules). Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data.

You can export or delete your data and close your account at any time by asking us. We delete it as described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Contracts, signatures and invoices

Orbit helps you write, send and sign agreements and send invoices. It is not a law firm and does not give legal, tax or accounting advice. Template wording is a starting point: you are responsible for what your contracts, invoices, estimates and tax settings say and for whether they suit your situation and your country or state.

Orbit records who signed what and when (name, time, and technical details such as the internet address) so there is a record of the signing. Whether an electronic signature is valid in your situation is for you and your advisers to decide.

5. Payments

Card payments are handled by Stripe, and Stripe's own terms apply to them. Orbit does not hold your money. Zelle and Cash App payments happen outside Orbit: Orbit cannot see those accounts, and a payment is only recorded when you confirm the money arrived.

You are responsible for checking that every amount, date and payment you record is right, and for refunds, chargebacks and disputes with your own clients.

6. Fees

Orbit is free for private beta testers. If we introduce paid plans we will tell you the price and what changes before anything is charged, and you can stop using Orbit instead of paying.

7. Using Orbit properly

Please don't:

  • break the law, or use Orbit to harass, deceive or defraud anyone, or to send spam
  • upload anything you don't have the right to share, or anything harmful (such as malware)
  • try to get into other people's accounts or data, probe or attack Orbit, or overload it
  • copy, resell or reverse-engineer Orbit, or use it to build a competing product

8. Connected services

Orbit can connect to other services you choose, such as Google (sign-in and Calendar), Stripe and Resend. Those services have their own terms, and you are responsible for your own accounts with them. You can disconnect them at any time.

9. Orbit itself

Orbit, its design and its software belong to Moonlight Productions LLC and its licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use it while these terms apply. You may use your own name, logo and wording inside Orbit, and you give us permission to display them to your clients as part of the service.

If you send us feedback, we may use it to improve Orbit without owing you anything for it.

10. Availability and our responsibility

We work hard to keep Orbit running and your data safe, but during the beta Orbit is provided as it is, without promises that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Please keep your own copies of anything important, such as signed contracts you cannot do without.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Moonlight Productions LLC is not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for anything arising from Orbit is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the problem and 100 US dollars. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You agree to cover the reasonable costs of a claim against us that comes from content you added to Orbit, or from your breaking these terms or the law.

11. Ending your use of Orbit

You can stop at any time and ask us to close your account. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk, and we will give notice where we reasonably can. When an account closes, we handle its data as described in the Privacy Policy. Parts of these terms that are meant to continue (such as those about liability) do.
